The road to Marken
Leaving Amsterdam , take the exit A10, direction Volendam N247. Approaching Monnickendam, take the exit Marken N518. Arriving at Marken you can park your car at the main parking lot. The Marker Museum is definitely worth visiting. In six former traditional fishermen’ houses a variety of articles of use, articles of dress and photo’s can be viewed. There are also original furnished rooms to be admired. The museum is closed from November till April

The Dutch Protestant Church situated on the Kerkbuurt is during summertime open for interested visitors.

If you intend to go sportive, there are al lots of possibilities. Sailing from Marken, Monnickendam, Volendam, Hoorn or Muiden can be arranged through companies we work with frequently. A full-day tour with catering is an opportunity to be seriously considered. In this perspective an element of competition can be involved as well.
